2025 Lab Safety Olympics

September 2-5, 2025

Siddique Lab’s first annual lab-lympics, which brushes up on members’ lab safety knowledge! The event spanned an entire week and included safety training, workshops, and fun games such as bingo, pipette shooting, and a wet glove try-on contest! Lisa, Nick, Dadong, and Veronica predicted their victory with their team name – “Team That’s Gonna Win.”

Alison Blundell Wins Second in Student Competition

YSP Scholars Thrive in Nematode Research

This summer, our lab hosted YSP Scholars Mason Walline and Anderson Van Dang, who gained valuable hands-on experience with nematode research. Their time with us was met with high praise from both the students and their families, underscoring the positive impact of our mentorship. We are proud to have contributed to their growth and would love to share more about their journey.

Both Mason and Anderson excelled, with Mason earning second place in the Summer Slam; Mason was mentored by Ching-Jung Lin, and Anderson by Veronica Casey, both graduate students in our lab.

SON 2023 was a blast!

The Siddique Lab had so much fun at SON 2023 held in Columbus, OH. Alison won first place in the 3-minute competition and Ching-Jung won second place in the 12-minute competition. The lab also competed in the Cobb Bowl!
